Richard Mousseau is an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. He received an MS, with specialties in health service administration and long-term care administration, from the University of South Dakota. He earned two BA degrees in psychology and theology from Creighton University. He has promoted healthcare advocacy, policy and health support for American Indians in the Great Plains region for over 10 years.

Mr. Mousseau currently serves as Director of Community Health Prevention Programs for the Great Plans Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board. He has been with the organization since October 2010. In this position, he has oversight of several programs: Northern Plains Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, Great Plains Colorectal Cancer Screening Initiative, and Great Plains Tribal Chronic Disease Self-Management Program.
