Lillian Zuniga

Lillian Zuniga has served as the Program Manager for the Office of Multicultural Health in the Public Health Division of the Wyoming Department of Health for over six years. In this role, she ensures that racial/ethnic residents in Wyoming receive the same quality of health care as the general population in the state. She advocates for policies, programs, and services that improve access, while considering social determinates of health, health disparities and equity.

Ms. Zuniga is passionate about achieving the two major goals of the Wyoming Office of Multicultural Health: (1) minimize health disparities among underserved populations in the state through networking, partnerships, education, collaboration, and advocacy and (2) promote culturally competent programs aimed at improving health equity. She serves on the Regional Health Equity Council (Region VIII); the board of the Wyoming Public Health Association; the board of the National Association of State Offices of Minority Health; and several other state and local advisory committees.

Ms. Zuniga serves as an informational resource for individuals in the community on multiple issues, including programmatic cultural competency training and understanding and application of Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Service Standards. She received her BA in child and family studies from the University of Wyoming.
