Chris Armijo 
The Colorado Trust 

Chris Armijo has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He has worked in health disparities in several areas including epidemiological research, cancer prevention research and education, tobacco policy and education, community needs assessments, teen sexuality research, and diabetes research. His former position was the Project Director for The Colorado Trust’s Equality in Health Initiative at The Partnership for Families & Children providing training and technical assistance to community based and health care organizations in the areas of cultural competency, evaluation, and health disparities and then later promoted to Vice President of Programs. Chris serves on the Board of Directors for The Susan G. Komen Denver Affiliate as the Vice President for Mission Initiatives and the Colorado Public Health Association as Treasurer. Additionally, he is a representative on the United States Department of Health and Human Services Regional Health Equity Council for Region VIII and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Minority Health Advisory Commission. His fellowships include the National Cancer Institute’s Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities, Regional Institute for Health and Environmental Leadership and the Bighorn Leadership Program. He is currently a Program Officer at The Colorado Trust.
